The Central Pollution Control Board is an organisation that is dedicated to improving the water and air quality throughout India. We support and promote cleaner water and air with special methods for detecting and reducing air and water pollution.
Our air quality monitoring system located in New Delhi detects pollutants such as carbon monoxide, ozone and nitrogen dioxide, and our nationwide programme controls and regulates air pollution from various industries and other sources. Our water monitoring system restores and maintains the safety of India’s many rivers, ponds, lakes and wells.
The Central Pollution Control Board has several ongoing projects centering around various types of Environmental concerns, including noise pollution, urban and rural environments and waste management.
