Sustainable Development in India

The Centre for Science and Environment, or CSE, is a public interest advocacy organisation dedicated to creating and supporting sustainable development in India. From rural areas where many people may live on subsistence agriculture, to urban cities, where industrialisation is creating toxicity, we advocate for cleaner air, better water management, environmental impact assessments, better food safety, and more sustainability when it comes to building and energy sources.

One of the most important parts of the CSE mission is to promote Education in the topics of environmentalism and sustainable development. We offer a green schools program as well as an environmental training institute. Gobar Times is our environmental magazine.

As India grows and develops over the coming years, we look forward to helping the country achieve greater safety and good standards of living by focusing on supporting equitable and green policies and procedures.
