Water and Energy Development

The Central Water and Power Research Station in Pune is one of the leaders in water and energy development. Our expertise in these fields began in 1916, when we worked to solve problems relating to irrigation and drainage, and since then have taken on many new eco development projects in India and in other parts of the developing world.

In the 21st century, we are working on various research and development projects pertaining to hydraulics, water-borne transport, energy, river engineering, irrigation and more. We are working in cooperation with countries such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand and Libya, just to name a few, to improve their water and agricultural systems, as well.

The Central Water and Power Research Station looks forward to growing and developing this field now and into the future.
